2015 Sleeper to Watch: Kaylee Ree (5/5)

One of the best parts of my job is I get to cover “sleepers,” those players who slip through the cracks for one reason or another or, simply, may emerge late and become a force later in their careers.
Here’s one that is starting to be discovered in the Northwest… keep an eye out for her this summer!

Name: KAYLEE REE
Pos: 3B/UT

Year: 2015
High School: Sam Barlow (Gresham, Ore.)
Club: Washington Ladyhawks – Miller
College: uncommitted
Stats: currently hitting .548 with five triples and 15 steals.
Comments (from a coach within the Ladyhawks’ organization):
“Kaylee is a gifted athlete who excels at everything she does. She plays third base for us and has the ability to be a true utility type kid. She has a major Div. I type skill set at third base.”
“Kaylee eliminates the short game all together over there. Her quickness and knowledge of the game allows her to always be in the right place. She has an A+ arm and can make every play on the field. Her ability to stay in the slot and not lose any velocity allows her to play all over our infield at a very high level. She would be a huge asset to any program.”
“She came to play for us this fall from Oregon. Not a lot of people have seen her up to this point as her previous team did not play the exposure type schedule that we play. She turned a lot of heads this fall and is planning on taking several visits. She is still wide open and has not committed at this point.”
