Here’s a great story of an athlete who was a star pitcher, who won three state tournaments in high school and full-ride offers to several D-I programs.

She had it all except for one thing—the desire to continue playing.

Sydnee Eck gave up softball her senior year and, deciding not to play anymore went to college on her grades.  However, during her freshman year she missed the game and after her first year contacted a JC to see about playing again.

We’ll spoil the end of the story by saying she’s now playing for the No. 1 ranked team in the nation and has signed to play at Creighton the next three years!
