Elana Meyers: softball to bobsled to ? (4/3)

The week between Christmas and New Year’s I got to interview Elana Meyers, the former softball standout at George Washington who was actually that school’s first softball recruit.

Here’s the original story, which I updated in February the week of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia as the Georgia native was competing in the two-women bobsled race.

What helped make Elana the first softball recruit in George Washington history was her strong bat, overall athleticism and field presence.
After a standout career with George Washington softball and then two Olympic medals in the bob sled, can Elana Meyers conquer a third sport?

As you probably know, Elana came this close to winning a Gold medal as she and her partner Laryn Williams lost on the fourth and final run.

After taking a bronze in the Vancouver Games, it would seem that she would be more fired up than ever to go complete the cycle and get a Gold in the next games.

However, as this article on CNN published today explains, Elana is looking to go into another sport to possibly get that elusive Gold.

At the very bottom she mentions she’s not necessarily done yet with the bobsled so we hope she has the talent and energy to do both!
