We’re excited to launch a new feature on StudentSportsSoftball—a video blog that will show what’s it’s like to be a softball player and all that comes with it, on the field and off.

Today you’ll see the impressive introductory video done by Andi Jarvis, a 2015 catcher and corner infielder who, along with her twin sister, Ari, plays for the OC Batbusters-Briggs 18U team.

Following in the footsteps of their older sister, Alex, a sophomore playing at Dartmouth, Andi and Ari are top prospects being recruited by ACC, Big East, Big Ten and Pac-12 schools and say they want to go together (Ari is a pitcher so wherever they go will get a nice battery combo!).

Andi has been playing for 11 years now, explaining: “My first days on the field began when I was six years old… you know, the age when there are 15 little girls on the dirt watching butterflies versus softballs.”

We’ll be hearing a lot more from Andi via her video contributions which begin today with her clip, “A Day in the Life of a Softballer.”

Check it out!
