Today we feature players No. 20 to 11 with standout players from California, Florida, Georgia and Idaho.

Check out more of 2014's HOT 100: 100-91, 90-81, 80-71, 70-61, 60-51, 50-41, 40-31, 30-21

#20... Taurie Pogue (SS, Washington Ladyhawks)--Cal Berkeley
Taurie is a power-hitting infielder with a strong arm, but her top attribute may be her leadership. She's vocal in motivating her teammates and helps every kid on her teams. Taurie is always positive and lifts everybody around her. Physically, she has a major college arm and good range, possesses an advanced knowledge of the game and elevates her game in pressure situations. She's been on college teams' radar since the eight grade when she got her first offer (Northern Colorado) and committed to Cal as a sophomore. The Idaho star was a MaxPreps Preseason All-American in 2013 after hitting .551 with 31 RBI and 12 home runs in 2012.
#19... Alexis Osorio (P, Corona Angels)--Alabama
Alexis' main pitch is a rise ball and she can throw the low and the high rise, similar to former Tide pitching great Kelsi Dunne. You need to jump on her early because she gets stronger as the game goes on. In the PGF Premier Nationals she shined against top competition, going 2-0 with a 1.35 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 20.2 innings of work. She was 1st Team All-State Underclass by CalHi Sports and 1st Team All-Area despite splitting playing time with fellow senior Sarah Costlow, a George Washington-bound pitcher.
#18... Savannah McHellon (P/OF, Georgia Power)--Georgia
Savannah is a monster at the plate and put up incredible numbers with the Power this year: in 72 games, she had 29 home runs and 108 RBI. She hits the ball farther than perhaps any senior in the country. She was part of the 16U Georgia Power team that finished tied for ninth at ASA Nationals where she clubbed eight home runs in 12 games with 24 RBI. But that's not all: she's also a great pitcher and throws in the mid 60's. It came down to Florida and Georgia and she decided to stay home. Savannah's so good she's been intentionally walked in high school with the bases loaded.
#17... Kaylee Carlson (P, OC Batbusters-Haning)--North Carolina
Kaylee got her chance to emerge when Team Mizuno-Stith's ace, Kaley Winegarner, went down with an injury and she made the best of it. Over the course of the year she was one of the most improved pitchers in the country as she helped Mizuno win tournaments in Boulder and at Team NJ, but it was her performance at the PGF Nationals that was most impressive. When Mizuno fell into the loser's bracket and needed to win five games in one day to make the finals, Carlson pitched 26 innings and won four of the games, carrying her team to the title game where they narrowly lost to the A's 3-2. At the high school level, she was a 1st Team All-State pick after going 19-1 with a 0.62 ERA and 138 strikeouts in 124.2 innings pitched.
#16... Gwen Svekis (C/1B, Gold Coast Hurricanes)--Oregon
Gwen is everything you want in a catcher: she has size, strength, quickness getting out of her crouch to field balls and a gun to nail out runners. She also frames well and blocks the plate effectively and if she just had the defensive tools she'd still be a major college catcher, but her offense is also at a high playing level. She hit .407 with 34 RBI and nine home runs to help lead her Ft. Lauderdale high school team to the Florida 7A Championship. She was clutch all year and when the stakes were the highest, she shined the brightest. In the playoffs she was 10-for-23 with four home runs and 13 RBI and in a big semi-final win tagged a runner out at the plate in the eighth inning and had a key hit in the ninth to set up the 1-0 win. She should contribute early in the Pac-12 because her defense and big stick will make her invaluable.
#15... Janell Wheaton (C, OC Batbusters-Haning)--Florida
Janelle is an athletic catcher who runs well and is a contact hitter with home run power but the best word to describe her is maturity. She's a quiet, but magnetic leader who's been a force on the national scene since emerging in 14U ball. She's a lefty thrower and a righty hitter who has a strong arm and is accurate on her throws. Janell helped Team Mizuno-Stith reach the PGF 18U National Championship final game and over the course of the tournament had 62 put outs and no errors and was second on the team in average at .357 and in RBI with 13. Each of the last two years she's hit over .600 for her San Dimas, Calif. high school team and totaled 70 RBI.
#14... Taylor Van Zee (MIF/OF, Firecrackers-Rico)--Washington
Taylor is a five-tool player who's a pure hitter and a triple threat. She has good bat speed and can do it all, even play multiple positions. She's a smooth fielder and efficient in her defensive movements. You won't find many players with better offensive numbers, either: as a junior playing for her Hemet, Calif. high school team she had an even 100 at bats and 70 of those were hits for a tidy .700 average. Additionally, she had 54 RBI with 14 home runs. She can run, too, going a perfect 19-for-19 in steals the last two years. A 1st Team All-State Underclass pick in softball, she's also an outstanding libero in volleyball and has won CIF-Southern Section championships in both sports.
#13... Vanessa Shippy (2B, Explosion)--Oklahoma State
Vanessa was a MaxPreps All-American in 2013 with video game-like numbers on the field for her high school team: a .733 average with 70 hits, 69 runs and 30 RBI plus 54-for-54 in steals. She helped her Idaho high school team win its second state championship in the last three years and it's in large part because she works harder than any player in the country. Vanessa will typically work out five to six hours a day, even on days when she has practices. Vanessa is a contact hitter who can bunt and hit for power, but her defense is also strong. She had a .592 average this year for Explosion and her intangibles are off the charts. The Idaho senior is a leader with presence who inspires others in the dugout. She has a great heart and puts the team first.
#12... Krystal Aubert (3B/SS, All American Sports Academy)--Washington
Krystal is the prototypical big and athletic third baseman who has great power at the plate and deceiving speed and quickness on defense and on the base paths. She has awesome hands in soaking in ground balls and a strong arm allowing her to play either position on the right side of the infield. Krystal is very coachable and leads by example. She hit .390 for her Orangevale, Calif. high school team and earned All-State Underclass honors by CalHi Sports. The Calif. native is also a talented basketball player who plays with energy and isn't afraid to dive head first for a loose ball. Well liked by her coaches and teammates, she has a great, infectious attitude that lifts up the players around her.
#11... Carlee Wallace (C, So Cal Athletics)--Auburn
Carlee isn't the bigger catcher in her class, but don't let her size fool you. She is a team leader who leads by example and is simply a winner. She was a driving force in helping lead the A's to their fourth straight PGF 18U National Championship as she hit .440 with 11 RBI in 10 games and made play after play on defense including throwing out a runner on a perfect throw in the championship game to keep her team ahead. The San Diego product has a very quick release and a strong arm on defense and is a pitcher's best friend as very little gets past her. On offense, she has power to all fields and if you make a mistake on a pitch she'll make you pay. Originally committed to Arizona State, she's headed to Auburn and should make a big impact in the SEC sooner than later.
