#60... Amanda Sanchez (3B, Firecrackers-Rico)--Missouri
Amanda is one of the best pure hitters in the country and is a line drive hitter who goes to all fields. Her first two years in high school she hit close to .400 before elevating her game as a junior to average .569 with 30 RBI in 72 at bats. Defensively, she has a quick first-step and good lateral movement.
#59... McKenzie Long (IF/OF, Minors Gold)--Michigan State
McKenzie is a versatile player who has all the tools to play infield or outfield at the college level. She has speed and can slap with the power to clear the fence. She hit .539 in leading her Southern California high school to a league championship last year with 22 RBI and 14 steals also. McKenzie is great on defense wherever you put her and is a stellar student with a 4.33 GPA.
#58... Kristen Cuyos (SS, Texas Aces)--Texas A&M
Kristen is one of the best defensive shortstops you'll see at the high school or club level. She has great range and a strong arm that allows her to nail runners even when deep in the hole. One coach says she plays like a baseball shortstop-- fluid and without wasted motion. A coach's dream in attitude and ability, the Texan is a tough out at the plate as well, with gap and over- the-fence power.
#57... Ashley Goodwin (MIF, Corona Angels--Ohio State
Ashley helped her Norco, Calif team finish No. 1 in the StudentSportsSoftball.com FAB 50 high school softball rankings in 2012 as a sophomore and has continued to shine at several spots in the infield. She was a 1st team CalHiSports.com All-State Underclass pick in part because she showed off her power in the playoffs, hitting two home runs with five RBI in one game and a three run home run in another. A great fielder who can go vertical to make a play, her diving stop of a ball at third and then gunning out the runner was one of the highlights of her Corona Angels winning this year's Champions Cup.
#56... Dani Nelson (SS/OF, Firecrackers-Arizona)--Arizona State
Dani is a five-tool player with her main strengths being speed and overall athleticism. At the plate she hits for power and average and how she goes is how the team goes. She hit .439 for her Arizona high school as a junior with 56 RBI and 10 home runs. She also went 14-for-15 in steals. Dani can even pitch, as she went 8-0 in 11 appearances with a 1.56 ERA in 45 innings. One local sportswriter said it best: Dani gives with her bat and takes away on defense.
#55... Courtney Shea (C/1B, Birmingham Thunderbolts)--Auburn
Courtney originally committed to Missouri, but when Coach Clint Myers--a family friend--got hired at Auburn this summer she decided to stay closer to home so her grandmother could see her play. A left-handed power hitter who also hits well for average, she benefits from taking hitting and catching instruction from two former ASU All-Americans, Katelyn Boyd and Kaylyn Castillo, respectively. Courtney is smart and knows how to lead a defense with runners on base as well as how to keep the pitchers focused.
#54ƒ Faith Cain (P, Nebraska Gold)„Nebraska
Faith is a Nebraska girl through and through and committed to the Huskers in October of her freshman year. She's 6-foot-1 and athletic, playing post on her school's basketball team, and is a power pitcher who's also a talented hitter. Her 0.18 ERA in 2010 ranks as the seventh best in Nebraska state history before she missed several months in 2012 with a stress fracture in her pitching arm. She's back in form now and will be a double threat at the collegiate level.
#53... Erica Wright (P, Impact Gold-Texas)--Texas
Erica is a big, overpowering pitcher/hitter who can dominate in the circle or at the plate. She was a 2013 co-MVP for her district with impressive pitching stats that included a 0.96 ERA and 278 K's and 44 walks in 124 innings. She also was a terror at the plate with a .589 average. She helped Impact Gold place 9th at the ASA 18U Gold Nationals and allowed only four earned runs in 24.2 innings.
#52... Ivie Drake (C, Georgia Outlaws--Georgia State
Ivie is one of the top defensive catchers in the country and possesses arguably the strongest arm, having been clocked at 71 mph on her throws at a Scout Softball combine. Her ball transfer and release is smooth and explosive and she also has big-time pop in her bat. What may surprise is she can run too--as a junior she had 19 steals for her Georgia high school team as she was named the Class AAAA Player of the Year.
#51... Rachel Sellers (C, So Cal Athletics)--Pacific
Rachel was really emerging as a catching force for the No. 1 club team in the country before she being slowed by a knee injury in Colorado over the summer. She has shown great improvement throughout her high school career and can bat in the 4, 5 or 6 spot in the lineup. From Orange County, Calif., a hotbed of talent, Rachel showed she not only is a solid defensive stopper and a pitcher's best friend behind the plate, she also can hit for average or power. As a junior, she was All-Area with a .389 average, 35 RBI and seven home runs.
