Today we begin our updated list of the FloSoftball 2017 Hot 100 Rankings!

This is our third high school class that we’ve updated a second time after revising the 2016 and ’16 classes; it's also our 9th overall including the 2014, ’18 and ’19 classes to the pair of '15s, '16s and '17s.

Note that we will be launching a 2020 Hot 100 this summer and ultimately will revise the 2017 class one more time – after the summer and prior to these juniors sign in November.

Today, we look at those players who have the talent to be in the Hot 100 but are right on the bubble; however, don’t be surprised if many ultimately jump into the top group after performing well this summer!

Until then, if players, parents and coaches want to refer to these athletes as making the “FloSoftball Softball Hot 150 rankings, 101-250,” that is accurate and means the athlete is one of the best softball players in the nation.

How Players Are Chosen & Ranked

The Hot 100 is an aggregation of FloSoftball research and evaluations along with input from club coaches and college scouts who give us their opinions.

Ultimately, we take what is an initial list of thousands of players in a graduating class and cut it down to a consensus of who most think are the most talented and have the greatest potential to excel based on where they are now.
