Ronald McDonald hosts the elite Texas teams with west coast teams heating up the competition on day one.

14U DFW Firecrackers vs Texas Bombers ETX

DFW Firecrackers 14U bats were hot inning one against the Bombers ETX. Breigh Oliver drilled a triple to left field to drive in the first run. 77 laced an RBI single down the left field line putting the Firecrackers up 2-0.

It didn't take long for Bombers ETX to respond when lead off Jordan McClain slapped it to third base and the ball got away from the catcher. McClain steals second with a ball in the dirt.

Maddie Melton ropes a triple off the left field fence driving in two runs for the Bombers tying the game 2-2. Carson Zachry hits a sac fly to center to score Melton putting the Bombers up 2-3.

At the top of the second, Krystal Lindsey bloops a single and steals second on the first pitch. Itati Arzola lays down the sacrifice bunt to move Lindsey to third. Jayna Reid hits a high bouncer to pitcher Lillian Cook to score Linsey and tie the game.

McClain showcased her speed when she beat out a routine ground ball back to the pitcher. She stole second then stole third.

In the bottom of the third, Melton hits a sharp single passed the shortstop to the lead off the inning. She advances to second on a wild pitch. Ashleigh Creek comes up with a fielder's choice RBI.

The Firecrackers roar back in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game 5-5. Oliver comes up clutch again to tie the game.



Texas Aces Express vs Athletics Mercado/Smith

Athletics Mercado/Smith jumped up to 18U this weekend starting with Texas Aces Express. UCLA Lexi Sosa got the start for the A's who shut down the Express until the fifth inning.

At the top of the fourth, the Athletics used their speed and savvy on the bases to put their first one on the board. Arizona-commit Jasmine Perezchica bounce slaps a single over the pitcher. She swipes second base on the first pitch. 2021 Quincee Lilio with a runner on second base, hard slaps in the 3-4 hole to score 2. She attempts to steal second and is gunned down by Triniti Kendzior.

The Aces roared back in when Hannah Thompson hit a long double off the top of the left field fence. Langston followed with a walk.

2019 Paulina Johnson pitcher enters the game for Sosa. With runners on second and third, she bounces a ground ball to the third baseman Smith who attempts to tag out Thompson and misses.

Bases are juiced with UL Lafayette-commit Casey Dixon at the plate, she lines to left and Gutierrez throws a bullet home to hold the run.

2019 Shaylon Govan comes up big hitting a laser to right to score two to put Aces Express ahead by one.

The Athletics would not go down without a fight. Michigan-commit Audrey LeClair led off with a single. Perezchica gets on with a bunt single.

The Athletics execute a double steal to put bother runners in scoring position. LeClair scores on a wild pitch to tie the game. Hannah Kumiyama fakes a squeeze and a delay steal scores Perezchica for the win.
