Today, we begin our latest look at the updated Hot 100 as we begin the ranking of the top 100 players in the 2018 class…we're spotlighting 10 each day as we count down from 100 to No. 1.

We'll announce the Top 10 of the class on Friday, December 23, profile the No. 1 player on Saturday, December 24 and then on December 25--Christmas Day--we will reveal the "Next In (101-200)."

Finally, on Tuesday, December 27, FloSoftball will unveil our Top College Rankings for the '18 class.

Since we first released the 2018 Hot 100, there have been a lot of changes as players have emerged as nationally prominent recruits. In fact, 43 of the players in the second version are new!

These junior standouts were chosen based on input and feedback from college and club coaches who've seen them play across the nation.

Criteria for choosing and ranking the players including performances at the club and high school levels and projecting how they will play at the collegiate level.

Today we feature players No. 100 to 91 with standout players from California (3), Illinois, Indiana (2), Massachusetts, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Texas.

100 -- Juvia Davis IF…Iowa Premier Gold (Indiana)
Juvia led her Illinois high school to a school record 22 wins, batting .458 with 45 RBIs--the most in school history. She hit six home runs in high school ball and seven in the fall for Premier. Juvia combines speed and power as she has been clocked at 2.8 home-to-first and hits in the 3 or 4-hole for one of the top club teams in the Midwest. Defensively, she's a lockdown third baseman who has great instincts and plays with great intensity and passion. One Big Ten coach said of Juvia, "I love her edge and how she plays the game. She's so intense."

99 --Taudrea Sinnie OF…Firecrackers -- DFW (Texas A&M)
Taudrea brings quickness and speed to the field as she runs 2.61 home-to-first and 10.86 home-to-home. She covers a ton of ground in the outfield and rarely has balls get into the gaps past her. At the plate, Taudrea can soft slap, power slap and hit for distance and always keeps the defense on its heels. She was 1st Team All-Metro Plex in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area after hitting an amazing .779 to lead the DFW area 6A schools and finish 4th in steals with 26. Last year at PGF Nationals she ranked in the top 20 for batting average and on-base percentage.

98 -- Molly Millar P… All American Sports Academy (Stanford)
Molly is a power pitcher who was clocked at 66 mph at the OnDeck June Jamboree in Hemet. She also throws a hard curve and features a drop screw and change that makes her hard to square up against. Molly has led her teams, including the Central Cal Dirt Dogs most recently, to the PGF Nationals the last three years. At the Champions Cup las summer she went 5-0 in the circle to help her team finish 3rd. The Central California junior also shined in high school as she went 18-2 including a two-hit shutout in the CIF Central Section D1 title game. So far in high school ball she is 34-6. In 2016, she struck out 159 hitters in 137 innings. Molly committed to Stanford in June of 2016.

97 -- Jordyn Rudd C/3B…Indiana Magic Gold (Northwestern)
Jordyn's bat was her ticket to the Big Ten, but the rest of her game has greatly improved through this summer and fall. At 5-foot-10, she's a physical presence behind the plate and threw out over 65 percent of the runners who attempted to steal against her this fall in showcase events. Jordyn is a take-charge leader behind the plate and on the field. This fall she hit .517 and didn't struck out once while showcasing she is a good overall athlete by stroking three triples and going 5-for-5 on stolen bases. With her skills, she could play behind the plate or either of the corner spots for the Wildcats.

96 -- Chelsea Bisi SS…Ohio Outlaws (uncommitted)
Since joining the Ohio Outlaws last season, the Pennsylvania standout has been a consistent bat in the 3 or 4-spot as she's hit .520 (65-for-125) with 19 doubles, 50 RBI and six homeruns. Her high school stats are equally impressive: a .589 batting average with zero strikeouts in her first two prep seasons which helped earn her a spot on the All-State team. Chelsea also posted a .920 fielding percentage with the majority of her time spent playing middle infield. The standout junior is seeing her stock blow up including heavy interest from Big Ten schools among others.

95--Samantha Stanley OF…Explosion-Denio/Wilson (uncommitted)
Sammy is one of the fastest players in the 2018 class with legitimate 2.60-2.65 home-to-first speed and, with the ability to soft slap, power slap or swing away, she continually keeps defenses guessing. Samantha has great bat control and defensively her speed allows her to get to everything in the outfield. She's also excellent on the base paths stealing bases at will and her quickness is aided by her running track for her San Diego high school. Playing for the strong Explosion team she led the squad in batting average this fall hitting just under .500 from the lead-off spot against elite competition.

94 -- Cheyenne Factor OF/SS…Oklahoma Athletics (Oklahoma State)
Cheyenne has been called a "beast" in that she can hit for power and drive in bases yet has the speed to steal bases at will. With a solid 5-foot-8 frame, she hit .437 this summer with 10 home runs and 76 RBI. One scout called her the best hitting outfielder in Oklahoma. Cheyenne plays right field but because of her quick first step and strong arm, she is strong in centerfield as well. One coach said, "She gets back on a ball better than anyone I've seen." The junior keeps defenses playing back, but can drag bunt and use the short game when she needs to. This fall in high school play she was named the Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference Player of the Year after leading her high school to the 6A state tournament in October.

93 -- Shannon Mortimer P…Beverly Bandits (uncommitted)
Shannon hails from Massachusetts and has emerged as a top pitcher whose stock is blowing up this fall. She's intimidating in the circle at 5-foot-11 and throws a drop and change along with a 65-mph heater. Her levers and good mechanics helped her have a strong summer in leading the Bandits DeMarini team to a 9th place finish at PGF 16U Nationals. After star pitcher Montana Fouts got hurt in the summer, Shannon was the workhorse and shined under the spotlight. She garnered major attention at the Surf City Early Thanksgiving Showcase in November and now has big name schools from conferences like the Big Ten, ACC, Pac-12 and SEC after her.

92 -- Makenna Harper OF/P…So Cal Choppers -- Fausett (Arizona State)
Makenna comes from a strong softball family as her older sister, Jessica, had a huge PGF Nationals this summer and was invited to the prestigious Louisville Slugger Hit Club in August. Makenna is also a big-time player who is skilled with the stick and is an all-around excellent player who can hit, throw and play defense at an accelerated level. The Valencia, California junior is competitive and loves the sport with a work ethic that few can match. As a sophomore, she hit .493 with a 1.274 OPS and Makenna, besides being a good hitter, can run well (28-for-34 on the bases in high school) and even pitch (13-5 mark in two prep seasons). The future Big Ten player also has yet to make an error in high school.

91 -- Briona Rance 1B/OF…East Cobb Bullets -- Schnute (Missouri)
Briona is a tall (6-foot-1) lefty hitter who continually puts the ball in play. She's a .500+ hitter who is a contact hitter with the ability to drive the ball into the gaps and spray the ball to all fields. Briona is the prototype first baseman who eats up ground balls and has excellent range and a good glove. For her Indiana high school, she hit .417 with 11 doubles in 72 at-bats and recorded a .986 fielding percentage on defense. Briona can play third base and the outfield as well because of her quick reflexes that allows her to get a good first step on the ball, whether it's a bunt in the dirt or a ball hit in the outfield.
