Auburn Softball Players Arrested For Marijuana Possession, Suspended
Auburn police reported that Auburn senior shortstop Hayley Fagan, sophomore pitcher Makayla Martin, and freshman Brittany Maresette were arrested Thursday morning for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Auburn police have confirmed that Tigers senior shortstop Haley Fagan, sophomore pitcher Makayla Martin, and freshman Brittany Maresette were arrested around 12:47 Thursday morning for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The police report states the arrests happened at a residence along East Samford Avenue.
All three players have been suspended indefinitely for violating team rules.
Thursday's arrests mark the latest incident in a turbulent four weeks for the Auburn program. In late March, Fagan was involved in a post-game altercation with Florida head coach Tim Walton and shortly after the team accepted the sudden resignation of AU associate head coach Corey Myers.
The three players are due in court on Aug. 31 for the Class A misdemeanor charges, which each carry a penalty of no more than one year in jail and up to a $6,000 fine.
Seventh-ranked Auburn is scheduled to play a road series against South Carolina, starting 5 PM CT on Friday.
