Auburn Player Charged With Possession Tests Negative For Drugs Post-Arrest
Medical report appears to clear Auburn star shortstop Haley Fagan of having marijuana or any other drug in her system after April 20 arrest.
FloSoftball has received a copy of a drug test that appears to show at least one of the Auburn softball players arrested on April 20 for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia did not have any drugs in her system.
A reliable source released Tigers shortstop Haley Fagan's medical laboratory report indicating the senior tested clean for marijuana and other drugs but positive for alcohol.
Fagan, along with sophomore pitcher Makayla Martin and freshman Brittany Maresette, were arrested at the same time and were suspended indefinitely from the team, missing last week's South Carolina series. All three players were reinstated this week by AU head coach Clint Myers.
On Friday, AI.com reported that a team spokesman said the "players remained suspended indefinitely but coach Myers said they'd be in uniform for this weekend's series against Mississippi State."
All three players who were arrested issued apologies on Twitter on Friday. Fagan wrote, "I am so incredibly sorry for the events of last week that had caused so much embarrassment for my family, my close friends, coach Myers, my teammates and the Auburn family. This past week has probably been the hardest week of my life. I should have known better than to have placed myself in that situation, especially being a senior and a leader of my team."
