What To Watch For At USAES Futures World Fastpitch Championship


13U Impact Gold National - Gold 
For these girls, this is their first year in the Impact Gold organization. Last year, they were Diamond Sports Hotshots South. The pitching staff is anchored by Halie Pappion, a big lefty from Lake Charles, Louisiana, who throws in the 58-60 mph range with a knee-buckling changeup. Other pitchers include Reanna Nieman, Nana Castereno from San Antonio, and Averi Paden from Mississippi. One of the strengths of the team is the outfield. Gold 12U is among the fastest teams in the country and features Seleste Compian, Amiah Burgess, and Kayden Henry. All are left-handed hitters, and all are home to first in the 2.6-2.8 range.

13U San Diego Renegades - Hicks
This first year 14U team has four USA Elite Select All-Americans listed and placed in the top five at TCS April's Finest. The team has a brand new coaching staff and has gained a reputation as one of the toughest teams to play in San Diego.

13U Georgia Fire Lunsford
Georgia Fire Lunsford is out of the metro Atlanta area. Their roster is comprised of 2021 and 2022 graduates. They compete all over the country in some of the most reputable showcases, including taking first place while playing up in a 16U tournament.

13U Top Gun Academy - Turner
Ranked No. 60 in the 14U rankings, TGA-Turner's record this year is 44-28-3. They finished ninth at the Hustle City Invitational and fifth at the Top Gun Championship Invitational. In addition, they won the Top Gun Qualifier going undefeated, which included a win over No. 32 DeMarini Aces. As a team that has been together for more than four years as a core group, they have incredible chemistry.  

13U Firecrackers GA O'Neal/Tinsley
This first-year 14U squad has a team batting average of .625 record this spring is led by former Georgia State pitching coach Amy Dumas. She has transformed the culture of this program, elevating it to top 10 finishes and first-place finish at the USA Softball state qualifier.

11U Mojo 2023
Coming off of a PGF National win at 10U, the Mojo have reloaded. They have a group of talented girls who are ready to make a run for the title at 11U.

11U Tampa Mustang 05
This tremendously talented group of young ladies value playing the game at not only the highest level but also the right way with class and dignity. Moving up from 10s this past fall, these girls have proven their worth in the 12U division with multiple tournament wins. Their latest championship win was just a week ago when they entered the ASA/USA Softball State Championship tournament as the only '05 team in a 10-team pool of '04 teams. The Tampa Mustangs 05 were seeded third and went on to win the 12U Championship, allowing zero runs on Sunday.

11U Buffalo Stampeders
Last year before moving up to 12U at the end of 2016, they won 16 straight with three tournament wins and was No. 1 in Florida and No. 2 in the nation on Dec. 31, 2016, according to USSSA Florida Fastpitch 10U.

11U Texas Blaze 05 Slimp
The team is coached by JB Slimp, founder and director of the Texas Blaze Fastpitch Club. 05 Slimp recently won the Gold bracket at VTD STATE and was the last 05 team standing at VTD JR Nationals, where Texas Blaze 05 Slimp finished fifth out of 60-plus teams. Its key wins in that tourney were against 04 Impact Jacoby, 04 Hotshots Deleon out of Houston area, and 04 TURN 2. This Texas Blaze team is very athletic and balanced. Its record is 42-21-1 for the spring/summer of 2017.
 
11U  Texas Glory Naudin 05
The 05 Texas Glory Naudin is under Kevin Shelton's organization and has a team record of 44-21. Being a first year 12U team, the team did not travel to any big national tournaments. This team does plan on playing in Tulsa Elite, USSSA Kansas City, Sparkler Colorado, and PGF next summer.

10U Finesse Skiba
With an overall record on the year of 40-18, 10U Finesse Skiba finished in the top three in both the USSSA and the NSA state tournaments for Michigan. They finished our season strong, going 22-4 in their last six tournaments leading up to Futures World Fastpitch Championship.

10U Impact Gold Plocheck
A young and competitive team, Impact Gold Plocheck played in the strongest tournaments in Texas. Expect them to be scrappy and surprise you with their defense.

10U Alabama Kraze 06
The Kraze won the "A" class Alabama USSSA State Championship. They face what is considered the top 5-10 teams in the country every week.

9U Carolina Elite NC Pack '07 Alley
Their team is comprised of athletes from various areas of North and South Carolina. They focus on effort and hard work together as a team. Carolina Elite strive for excellence each time they take the field because they love the game. They play 9U nationally and 10U regionally and won the NSA Burn Out open 10U tournament and NC State Championships Open 10U tournament.

9U Coral Springs Panthers
The Coral Springs Panthers 9U-Ebert is a team made up entirely of players from the Youth Softball Association of Coral Springs, a league with about 250 players ages 6-16. The Panthers have been together as a team for about a year and a half and are in their first season playing kid pitch softball. In their first season as an 8U team, the Panthers won five tournaments, including the USSSA SF State Championship.

9U Georgia Impact National 07
From Lilburn, Georgia, they have four players selected to play for USA Elite Select Futures. They were the Birmingham Invitational Champions and placed third at the USSSA state tournament.
