FloSoftball continues our look at the class of 2018 as we update the Hot 100 over the next two weeks, spotlighting 10 or more outstanding players each day on the way to the unveiling of the No. 1 player and the top 2018 recruiting classes on Tuesday, November 7.

This list is an updated version of our initial 2018 Hot 100 rankings, and 20 of the honorees will be new to the list after our last version published in December 2016.

After the top 100 is finalized, FloSoftball will shortly thereafter profile the No. 1 player and then list the "next in" classes comprising recruits Nos. 101-200, 201-300, 301-400, and 401-500!

FloSoftball has ranked the Hot 100 beginning with the 2014 class and has done every grad year since including 2015, '16, '17, '18, '19, '20, and '21. We've also updated most of those years several times.

These 2018 honorees were chosen based on input and feedback from college and club coaches as well as our own FloSoftball event and in-person observations. Criteria for choosing and ranking the players includes performances at the club and high school levels and projecting how they will play at the collegiate level.

Today we feature players No. 90-81 who come from Alabama, California, Georgia (2), Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Ohio, Oklahoma and New Jersey.

null90 | Sami Skelly, 1B | Oklahoma Athletics (Oklahoma)
Skelly is an athlete who has largely flown under the radar up to this point but her power at the plate and versatility at first base helped her bust into the Hot 100. Last season, Skelly helped lead her Lone Grove High School team to the state championship game and then had a breakout summer with the Oklahoma Stealth batting at incredible .469 at the plate with 15 home runs and 42 RBIs. Skelly will spend this upcoming season playing at several top-level tournaments including Colorado Fireworks and PGF Nationals with the Oklahoma Athletics. Skelly hasn't spent much time on the national scene, but managed to catch the eye of Sooner head coach Patty Gasso, and has committed to play at Oklahoma.

null89 | Avrey Steiner, 2B/OF | Ohio Outlaws (Illinois)
Steiner is a left-handed slapper who breaks into the Hot 100 as a triple-threat at the plate who can drop a bunt or drive it into the gaps. Last season with Lakeview High School, Steiner had an incredible showing at the plate batting .653 with 40 runs scored and earning All-Ohio honors for the second time. She has also seen tremendous success at the travel ball level winning both a TCS National Championship and PGF National Championship last summer with the Beverly Bandits. The Cortland, Ohio, native will join the University of Illinois next fall.

null88 | Maddie Billings, P/3B |  Atlanta Vipers - Moore (Georgia Tech)
Billings is a versatile pitcher with a devastating changeup but velocity and movement to complement it. Pitching is just one side to her game, the slugger bats in the middle of the lineup and provided several clutch performances last summer for her Atlanta Vipers team, which took third at the USA Elite Select 16U and had a strong 13th overall finish at PGF Nationals. At Etowah High School, Billings recently helped her team to an Elite Eight finish in Georgia's highest classification for the first time in school history. The first-team all-region selection will stay in-state to compete for Georgia Tech.

null87 | Hannah Davis, 3B | Louisville Lady Sluggers (Kentucky)
Davis is a strong, clutch, three-hole hitter who can change games with one swing of the bat. During her junior year at Scott County High School, Davis put up a .421 batting average with 51 hits, 53 RBIs, and 32 runs scored earning her all-district, all-region, and all-state honors. Last summer Hannah helped the Lady Sluggers to a top-five finish in four major tournaments including a J.O. Cup Championship. At third base she has fantastic instincts and an elite-level combination of lateral quickness and arm strength that will allow her to make the transition smoothly into the SEC as she'll join Kentucky next fall.

null86 | Rachel Vaughan, P/UT | Georgia Impact - Lewis (South Carolina)
Vaughan pairs with another Hot 100 pitching standout, Kelley Lynch -- rated as the No. 2 prospect in the 2019 class and an Auburn commit -- to make their East Coweta (Sharpsburg, GA) High team a powerhouse in the Peach State. The team is 32-0 and made the Elite Eight of the GHSA Class 7A state playoffs to be decided this weekend. Vaughan is a dominant lefty with mid-60s speed and a changeup and drop curve that makes it tough to sit on any one pitch. She's always under control in the circle, and when the game gets tight she elevates her play. The senior is also dangerous with the stick and is a .400-plus hitter who can drive the ball deep and roll up clutch hits and RBIs.

null85 | Jenny Bressler, P | Michigan Finesse (UNLV)
Bressler had a dominant summer in the circle winning two national championships, first at the USA Softball J.O. Cup where she helped her Finesse team win the title and then at the PGF 16U Premier Nationals a week later where she guested for the Beverly Bandits-Ketelhut team and won another championship. At the J.O. Cup she went 6-0, at PGF Nationals was 2-0 and over the two events combined for 56 strikeouts and only two runs allowed -- a 0.30 ERA -- in 45 innings facing the top hitters in the nation.

null

Perhaps her most impressive performance came in the PGF semifinals where she relieved fellow 2018 Hot 100 pitcher Montana Fouts (Alabama) in a semi game and struck out the first five batters she faced and seven of 11 to close out the win. Her ability to locate her riseball anywhere, in or out of the strike zone, leaves hitters perplexed and led to stellar numbers: 23-1 with 163 Ks and an ERA of 0.64 in club play and 20-4 with 283 Ks in 152 innings for her Michigan high school as she repeated as an all-state honoree. After PGF, she received a half dozen full-ride offers, but her desire to play for Kristy Fox, a coach on the junior national team too, solidified her commitment to the Rebels.

null84 | Peyton Schnackenberg, P/UT | Beverly Bandits - Conroy (St. Johns)
Schnackenberg is a 5-foot-8 right-handed pitcher who throws in the mid-60s with good spin and movement on the ball and has become one of the top pitchers in the nation because of her ability to change speeds. She joins the premier Bandits 18U team this year -- the defending PGF 18U Nationals champions -- after several standout years in the Wagner's Gold program and will be a nice complement to lefty Sydney Supple (2019, Northwestern). Schnackenberg is also a middle-of-the-lineup hitter with power and is a great all-around athlete; the New Jersey senior is very strong, deadlifting 400 pounds, and has broken practically every Montgomery (Belle Mead, NJ) High record in weightlifting and in the shot put.

null83 |  Breanna Vasquez, P | Athletics TO-Mercado (UCF)
Vasquez is a dominate pitcher who gets plenty of swing and misses from her up-spin rotation. Her riseball is one of the best in the 2018 class. She has won many championships throwing for the Athletics TO team the past five years. At one point last season, she had 12 straight strikeouts and struck out 21 out of 24 batters at the 18U level.

null

This fall Vasquez recorded 44 strikeouts in 24 innings with a 1.60 ERA. She was undefeated this fall. Vasquez tallied 614 strikeouts in three seasons at Norwalk high school, throwing 399 innings. She has an combined era of 1.12. She was named all-league honors all three years. She will make a great impact at UCF next season. She will be attending UCF with two of her current teammates, Karissa Ornelas, and Tera Testa.

null82 | Kiley Naomi, MIF | Aces Express (Oklahoma State)
Naomi is a smooth middle infielder with impressive range. Named LSCA 3A all-state and first-team all-district 8-3A, Naomi brings explosive speed and pop to the lineup. Her foot speed and strong arm allows her to defend space on the field that most players can't. On defense, she has a knack for reading the speed and direction of the ball off the bat better. Combining vision and quickness, her ability to get to long range balls is incredible. Naomi will sign with Oklahoma State in November.

null81 | Lacey Fincher, C/UTL | Jersey Intensity (Georgia)
From Mobile, Alabama, Fincher committed to play for Georgia as a high school freshman. This 6-1 utility player is a beast at the plate. She's on pace to break Faith Academy's high school home run record and possibly the state record. Fincher was named first-team Alabama 5A all-state and is projected to break several offensive records. Fincher will continue her softball career at the University of Georgia.
