Top 2018 College Softball Recruiting Classes

Hot 100 College Collage (1)

As we finish wrapping up our final 2018 Hot 100 rankings list this week, FloSoftball honors those elite players — and thousands across the country like them — who take the next step in fulfilling their life-long dream of playing collegiate softball by signing their National Letter of Intent.

Taking these Hot 100 athletes and the Next 100 (players 101-200) who will be announced tomorrow, we’ve compiled our list of the top college recruiting classes comprised of these standout seniors.

The rankings process is based on a point system in which the higher ranking players received more points. Each player's point total is based on a sliding scale; for example, the No. 1 player receives 200 points, No. 2 has 199, No. 3 has 198… down to No. 200 which receives one point.

Note that the system favors those who signed more players, but with most programs signing anywhere from two to six, it gives a good idea on who picked up top players and more of them.

Here, then, are the top 2018 college recruiting classes as determined by FloSoftball:

6Oklahoma State
12Florida State
14South Carolina
15Texas A&M
T-19Notre Dame
21Mississippi State
26Boston College
27Ohio State
28North Carolina State
29Arizona State
30Central Florida
31Oregon State
32Penn State
33Ole Miss
34Iowa State
36Utah State
38James Madison
41Louisiana Tech
T-47Michigan State
50Georgia Tech
