We’re spotlighting 10 players each day on the countdown from No. 100 to No. 1, and there is no shortage of fresh faces — as many as 25 newcomers are in the updated Hot 100!

We’ll announce the top 10 of the class on Friday, Jan. 19, and shortly after will profile the No. 1 player.

These 2019 honorees were chosen based on input and feedback from college and club coaches as well as our own FloSoftball event and in-person observations.

The criteria for choosing and ranking the players include performances at the club and high school levels and projecting how they will play at the collegiate level.

Today, we feature players Nos. 20 to 11, who come from California (3), Florida (2), Georgia (2), and Texas (3).

20 | Miranda Stoddard P/UT | Explosion—Denio (Kentucky)

Stoddard is one of the most highly respected two-way players in the junior class. One SEC scout said, “I think she is going to be strong in the SEC early in her career both as a pitcher and a hitter." A pure athlete who can pitch, hit, and play both corner positions while excelling at all of them. Stoddard shined at Anaheim (CA) Canyon High School as a sophomore. She had a 16-9 record against elite competition with a 1.99 ERA and 21 complete games in 24 starts. She’s a versatile pitcher who throws several tough-to-hit pitches including a drop curve, change, and rise, which complements her excellent screwball. The So Cal hurler is money in crucial games and elevates her game best when the pressure is highest. She committed to the Wildcats in September 2016.

19 | Baylee Goddard 3B | Jacksonville Storm—Davis (Florida)

Goddard is a serious athlete who can play any position in the clay or the grass and fits that versatile role that draws Florida coach Tim Walton’s interest. She’s a tremendous power hitter who is very skilled defensively. She has been ranked top 20 on this list for past two years now. For her club team, she hit 12 home runs last season and booked 45 RBIs. She is aggressive and explosive on the base paths. Once she’s on, she’s hard to stop. She wears the number 50 to honor her dad, Johnathan Goddard. He was an All-American at Marshall and a former NFL defensive end for the Baltimore Colts who was tragically lost in a motorcycle accident when Goddard was just 8 years old. Year to year, Goddard has been consistently over .547 in any competition and continues to post great numbers. She is a two-time all-state player for Orange Park (FL) Oakleaf. Beyond hitting and field, Goddard is a leader on and off the field who can inspire and lift her teammates. She committed to Florida in 2015.

18 | Maddison Koepke MIF | Georgia Elite (Auburn)

Koepke is a Georgia girl who knew she wanted to be a Tiger early; she was one of the first to find a home back in 2014 when she chose Auburn. No matter the changes there, she’s still planning to answer the War Eagle call. A clutch hitter, she is at her best when she faces the best, which is a great asset for a player heading into the SEC. She helped her Hoschton (GA) Mill Creek team win two back-to-back state titles in the 6A class. She was one of only four non-seniors in Georgia named to the all-state first team. On her club team, Dickey Vallery’s Georgia Elite 18U Gold, she hit .400 and had no strikeouts all summer. On the field, she is a smooth shortstop with great presence.

17 | Leea Hanks OF | East Cobb Bullets—Schnute (Notre Dame)

Hanks is a speedy outfielder who is an offensive threat from the moment she steps up to the plate. With a home-to-first time below 2.7 seconds, she tests defenders and forces them to makes plays. If they bobble and she’s on, this 5-foot-9 speedster will test every catcher she faces by swiping bags as often as possible. She stole 33 bases for her Eustis (FL) team, which finished as runner-up in the 5A state finals. Hanks earned first-team all-state honors, leading her team in almost every offensive category including home runs. With a sub-11-second home-to-home time, she’s more than capable of legging out the extra base hits too. After attention from schools in the SEC and ACC, Hanks chose the Irish in November 2015.

16 | Chandler Dennis P/UT | East Cobb Bullets—Caymol (Michigan)

Dennis has a killer curveball hitting the mid-60s with an effective rise, meaning she dominates in the circle. She’s lethal at the plate as well. Dennis is widely recognized for her Peach State success, named Georgia’s 7A Player of the Year, and first-team all-state last season during her campaign with her Suwannee (GA) North Gwinnett team. That was her second all-state award, but she also collected a FloSoftball All-American nod. Posting a 0.88 ERA and collecting 144 Ks, she led her team to a state title in the highest classification in Georgia. Playing up an age group on an 18U squad for her East Cobb Bullets club team, she faced tough competition and still led with her stick in several categories. Bound for Ann Arbor, MI, she will play for legendary Carol Hutchins and the Wolverines.

15 | Lexi Sosa P/UT | Athletics—Mercado/Smith (UCLA)

Sosa was the youngest Bruins commit ever at 13 years old, but she had 21 offers when she found her home at UCLA. With an ideal pitcher’s frame, she uses those levers to her advantage and is consistently hitting speeds in the high 60s. She has an effective change and is known for her rise ball, but she’s been working on the drop and it just might be better. That’s going to make this pitcher even tougher to hit. Playing up in 18U, she’s often pitching in championship innings. A workhorse in the circle, she’s fought through some tendinitis issues and is heading back to the top of her game. For her Chula Vista (CA) Mater Dei team, she pitched 104 innings and collected 134 Ks and hit for .425 with three home runs. She was on the Michelle Carew Classic All-Tournament team and was awarded first-team All-Mesa, All-CIF, and So Cal Sidelines honors. Coaches simply call her a “stud.”

14 | Rylee Trlicek P | Texas Blaze (Florida)

Trlicek is a lefty, multi-sport athlete who can dominate multiple positions on the softball field. She’s a franchise pitcher who throws in the high 60s. Trlicek earned Class 3A all-state honors and was the District 27-3A MVP not only for her arm but also for her bat at Hallettsville (Texas). In the circle, she complements her power with a hard-to-lay-off drop ball and can mix in a curve, rise, screw, offspeed curve, and change to totally confuse hitters. She’s the ace on John Carpenter’s Blaze Gold team and had a setback this summer when she broke a rib but rebounded in the fall to hit .340 and is looking strong again in the circle with eight wins. She had multiple offers from ACC, Big 12, and Pac-12 schools before finalizing her choice to become a Gator in December 2015.

13 | Brooke Marquez MIF | Firecrackers—Rico (Notre Dame)

Marquez brings extreme effort and leadership to the field and is a tireless worker whose energy carries a team from the first pitch to the last pitch of the game. She has all the tools physical — including a good glove and bat — but it’s her passion to improve that makes her an elite athlete. She batted .480 with a .512 on-base percentage as a sophomore last spring for Newhall (CA) Hart and repeated as a FloSoftball Second-Team All-American. She broke her arm a year ago in November diving for a ball but hasn’t missed a beat since and finished off a strong summer by batting .400 at PGF Nationals. One coach said of the Irish commit: “Brooke has improved mentally, has a good glove and works hard… she’s the type of player who becomes the heart of the team." Marquez committed to Notre Dame in November 2015.

12 | Taylor Pleasants IF/OF | Scrap Yard Internationals (LSU)

Pleasants has long been one of the most coveted prospects in Texas at any age because of her 6-foot frame and multiple tools, including a great glove and smooth swing from the left side that generates effortless power. She has the explosive first step and core power — aided by her standout abilities in volleyball too — to play any of the infield and outfield positions. However, her long strikes, quick hands, and ability to cover a lot of space quickly makes her a promising shortstop prospect. The Houston Dobie athlete batted .493 with 35 RBIs and a .583 on-base percentage as a sophomore after earning all-district honors as a freshman when she hit .447 with 34 RBIs. Taylor committed to the Tigers in November 2015 after being recruited by major programs in the SEC, Pac-12, and Big 12.

11 | Grace Green P/1B | Team Mizuno Impulse (Oregon)

Green has really exploded the recruiting ranks and several coaches say she’s now one of the top prospects in the country at any age. The Texan is a lefty pitcher who hits the gun in the mid-60s with an excellent rise, drop, and changeup. Add to the mix her ability to hit her spots and alter speeds which can make Green sometimes just about unhittable. As a sophomore, she earned first-team FloSoftball All-American and first-team all-state honors as a multi-purpose player when she went 16-1 with a 1.43 ERA and 211 Ks in 123 innings. Green also batted .383 with 27 RBIs for North Richland Hills (Texas) Birdville, which she led to the 5A state championship in 2016. Green was also a first-team All-American at the USA Select 30 Camp and ended up picking the Ducks in October 2015.
