After contacting every junior college coach in the nation, conducting extensive research, and measuring the top junior college programs, we are very happy to recognize the first JUCO Hot 100.

Many of these sophomores will go on to play at four-year universities and will likely be key contributors for mid-major programs in 2019. Strong and competitive at their respective positions, these talented athletes hailed from all over the country.


100 | Keeanna Wolcik, P | Herkimer CC (Felician College)

A returning NFCA/NJCAA First-Team All-American, Wolick finished her rookie season at Herkimer with a perfect 15-0 record and 1.63 ERA while leading the Generals to the NJCAA DIII National Championship semifinals in 2017. So far in 2018, she has posted a 6-1 record and 1.72 ERA. She is also batting .444 with four home runs and 21 RBIs for NJCAA DIII No. 2-ranked Herkimer.

99 | Taylor Carroll, IF |  Pitt CC

A multi-sport standout coming out of Princeton High School in North Carolina, Carroll was named to the NJCAA Third-Team All-American squad after posting a team-high .411 BA with eight home runs in her freshman campaign.

98 |  Destinee Miles, OF | Wabash Valley (Univ. of Charleston)

Miles is listed as a 5-foot-6 center fielder. The Indianapolis native garnered All-GRAC and Region XXIV first-team honors after hitting seven home runs, swiping 20 of 21 stolen base attempts, and helping lead Wabash Valley to a co-GRAC title.

97 | Jessica Olvera P | Mount Sac

This sophomore hurler from John F. Kennedy High School in California finished her freshman year with not only strong numbers athletically but notched an NFCA Academic All-American honor for her classroom achievements as well. On the field, Olvera finished the year at 12-2 with a 1.69 ERA in 87 innings pitched and was named first-team All-South Coast Conference and all-state.

96 | Holly Murray, C | Shelton State

Murray is a two-time state champion from nationally-ranked Sumiton Christian High School in Alabama. The sophomore living up to her offensive hype this year, as she leads the ACCC in home runs (13) and is third in RBIs with 56. If you talk to coaches around the league, Murray is the name that always comes up when asked who’s the most dangerous hitter they’ve faced in the region.

95 | Kiana Spence, P | Yavapai (Univ. of New Mexico)

Spence is a hard-throwing lefty and a second-team NJCAA 2017 All-American who finished her freshman season with a 20-1 overall record and a team-leading 1.55 ERA as well as ACCAC Pitcher of the Year honors. 

94 | Taylor Roberts, P/UT | Antelope Valley

This sophomore transfer from Adams State University has made her mark in the Cal community college world. So far this season, she ranks second in the CCCAA in RBIs (61) and leads her team in home runs (13), batting average (.460), and wins (21) on the mound. 

93 | Jenna Edwards, P | Chattanooga State

The Tigers got an excellent complement to hard-throwing All-American Kaleigh Wynne when Edwards transferred in from Kentucky Christian University during the offseason. This crafty lefty mixes speeds and pitches better than anyone out there and has so far won 15 games while averaging close to seven strikeouts per game for Chatt State.

92| Carly Rigsbee, IF | Georgia Military

The Stockbridge (GA) Woodland High School alum has seen her numbers soar in her sophomore campaign at Georgia Military. She currently is in top five of the GCAA league in average .(442) and is the leader in RBIs (60) and home runs (13) while adding 17 doubles. A sure bet for postseason accolades, she has the Bulldogs in a hunt for a trip to the World Series.

91 |  Kayla Curtan, IF | North Idaho College

The Roseville, CA, native started in all 48 games for Coach DonDon Williams Cardinals. She finished her freshman year as an NWAC East Region performer after hitting .448 with eight home runs, 20 doubles, 43 RBIs, and 21 stolen bases. She currently lists a .561 BA and 19 doubles through 30 games is leading all of NWAC for first-place North Idaho.
