Keeli Milligan & Sam Show Announce They Will Transfer From Texas A&M

Pitcher Samantha Show and outfielder Keeli Milligan announced that they will not be returning to Texas A&M next season. Both players have one year of eligibility remaining.

The university released a statement that said, "Both Keeli and Sam have decided to leave the program on their own accord. We wish them the very best in their future endeavors."

One of the stipulations of Milligan's transfer is she will not be able to join another SEC school and that will likely be the case for Show.

After batting .379 with 54 stolen bases as a freshman, Milligan saw her batting average and on-base percentage steadily decline each year with the Aggies.

"It was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make, but I felt like it was best for myself to look for another opportunity," Milligan told Aggie Sports. "I wish nothing but success and wins for Aggie softball. I will always appreciate the people I’ve met and the memories I’ve made playing for Texas A&M."

Milligan collected a number of accolades during her time with the Aggies.

  • 2016 All-SEC Second Team
  • 2016 SEC All-Freshman Team
  • 2016 NFCA All-Region Second Team
  • 2016 Schutt Sports/NFCA Division I Freshman of the Year Top 10
  • SEC Player of the Week (May 9)
  • SEC Freshman of the Week (Feb. 15)

Release paperwork is still pending for Show. Over the last three seasons, her stats improved in ERA and batting average but her number of innings pitched was cut in half when comparing her freshman year to junior year.

Show also racked up many awards with A&M:

  • 2017 NFCA All-South Region First Team
  • NFCA National Pitcher of the Week (Feb. 28, 2017)
  • SEC Pitcher of the Week (Feb. 27, 2017)
  • 2017 SEC All-Preseason Team
  • 2016 SEC All-Freshman Team
  • 2016 Schutt Sports/NFCA Division I Freshman of the Year Top-25
  • SEC Freshman of the Week (Feb. 29)

"I would like the thank the coaching staff and Texas A&M University for the opportunities they have given me," Show told Aggie Sports. "It was in my best personal interest to finish my collegiate softball career elsewhere."
