Last season, we saw the Beverly Bandits – Conroy emerge as 18U PGF Premier national champion for the first time. That championship marked the first time that a team outside of California took the 18U division title.

Gatorade Player of the Year Megan Faraimo returns to the circle for the Corona Angels, who finished second last season. Will we see them again in the PGF Championship game?

This season, East Cobb Bullets Schnute and the 2018 USA JO Cup champion Louisville Lady Sluggers look very strong building off of last season’s team while picking up young studs along the way.

The 16U division is up for grabs with many teams and players from last season jumping up to 18s. But we can assume the Bandits will be strong this season at the 16U level with coaches Jen Tyrell and Rona Dorsey at the helm. Last season at PGF, three Bandits team finished in the top 10, with Bandits – Ketelhut staging a triumphant 10-game winning streak out of the loser’s bracket to win the PGF title.

Dirt Divas and Diamond Sports Hotshots Premier – Nelson represented Texas well, dominating at 12U and 14U. Diamond Sports Hotshots Premier – Nelson collected three national championships last season but can the squad repeat at 14U? The Premier team is now split into two teams with No. 1 Hot 100 catcher Maci Bergeron moving to Hotshots Premier – Falterman.

Could we see back-to-back 14U championships go to a team from the Lone Star State? With the DS Hotshots, Impact Gold National, Texas Glory Naudin, Texas Bombers Gold, and Texas Blaze Futures all vying for a national championship it wouldn’t come as a surprise.

At the 12U division, there has been lots of buzz swirling around Athletics Mercado/Hovermale, which has blazed a trail of championships since 10U. Fellow California powerhouse Batbusters – Mascerenas will return as a second-year 12U team that will be strong and experienced going into this year’s competition.
