Lacie Ham, After Her Head Injury

OC Batbuster Campbell pitcher/first baseman Lacie Ham was rushed to the hospital on Sunday after she was struck by a line drive to the temple. She was diagnosed with a skull fracture in the ICU and seems to be recovering well.

Ham was named to the 2021 Hot 100 list and competes on one of the best 14U clubs in the country. Guided by Mark Campbell, the OC Batbuster squad finished second in last year's PGF Premier Nationals. During her freshman campaign at Murietta Mesa (CA), Ham posted a 1.23 ERA with 56 strikeouts and an 11-3 record.

Russell Ham, father of Lacie, posted a picture and a message to the community of people supporting Lacie, "The ongoing support Lacie’s been receiving has been tremendous. The softball community, our friends/family have touched her and our hearts. She’s doing much better, still in stable condition.

"Periodic headaches but was able to sit up and walk a little bit. Just like any fracture, she’ll just need to chill and let it heal. Emily Ham and I would like to thank everyone for your continued support. She’ll be back in the circle, throwing that nasty change-up very soon."

We wish Lacie a very speedy recovery and we look forward to seeing her back on the field.
