Kleist is the sixth player to leave Oregon this fall. Shannon Rhodes, Lauren Burke, and Miranda Elish will be transferring to the University of Texas. Mary Iakopo and Alyssa Pinto have not made any announcements following their decision to transfer.
The 2018 Pac-12 Pitcher of the Year posted a 21-7 record with 221 strikeouts and a 1.32 ERA. Her performance in the circle was pivotal to Oregon capturing the Pac 12 Conference title and advancing to the Women's College World Series for back-to-back seasons.
Kleist is rumored to be heading to Ragin' Cajun country but no information has been confirmed. We will follow the story as it develops.
