The Rebels are off to a rocky start leaving for Orlando without head coach Mike Smith. 

The university stated that the 5th year head coach would not be traveling with the team suspended for ‘not meeting the university’s expectations for operating the program.’ Associate head coach Ruben Felix will act as head coach while Smith serves a five-game suspension. His return is expected next week.
