I'm in a glass case of emotions.

Eight teams are left standing after an exhausting and emotional regional ride with Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Florida, UCLA, Arizona, Alabama, and Washington all advancing to OKC for the Women's College World Series.

Sam Show Sits Down 18-Straight

Defending national champion Florida State opened game one with Oklahoma State with hits over the first two innings and plated the game's first run in the second inning.

Cowgirl starter Samantha Show shut things down after a leadoff single in the fourth inning, retiring the next 18 batters she faced to keep the Cowgirls in it.

Show pitched all nine innings of OSU's victory Thursday, tying her career high.

The right-hander recorded five strikeouts against the Seminoles and walked just one en route to tossing her 19th complete game of the season.

Minnesota Advances To First-Ever WCWS

The Gophers are the first team to sweep LSU in a Super Regional behind the arm of junior ace Amber Fiser. Seniors Allie Arneson and Maddie Houlihan final games at Jane Sage Cowles Stadium ended on a high note with both homering in game one and two.

Madi Sue Montgomery, The Cowgirls Unsung Hero

Anna Shellnut’s leadoff home run to lead off the Seminole’s half of the seventh inning cut the Oklahoma State lead to one in the winner take all game three. But the next three Seminole hitters were retired in order to send the Cowgirls to the WCWS. Thanks to a Madi Sue Montgomery sacrifice fly earlier in the top of the sixth, Shellnut’s solo shot wouldn’t be enough to keep the defending champions hopes alive.

It was Montgomery's 203rd career RBI, making her one of just six players in Big 12 history to drive in at least 200 runs. She is also only the second player in Big 12 history (Sydney Romero, Oklahoma) to record at least 30 home runs, 50 doubles, and 200 RBI.

Longhorns Longball Pushed Game Three

Facing a 4-0, third-inning deficit and having lost its starting pitcher due to injury, Texas softball put together its largest comeback of the season to knock-off Alabama, 7-5, and force a decisive third game.

in the bottom of the third, Janae Jefferson and Reagan Hathaway registered back-to-back one-out singles, and sophomore catcher Mary Iakopo followed with a three-run shot down the left field line to cut the UT deficit to 4-3.

MK Tedder tied it up by driving the first pitch of the bottom of the fourth over the wall in left. Senior designated player Ki'Audra Hayter and sophomore first baseman Lauren Burke put together consecutive singles and following a sac bunt and a Hathaway walk to load the bases with still just one out, a Crimson Tide throwing error and a Rhodes groundout combined to plate three more runs as Texas roared in front, 7-4.

Five Sooner Homers Sets New Single-Season Mark

Oklahoma clinched its 13th WCWS appearance this millennium by collecting 12 hits and pounding out five home runs in a convincing 8-0 victory over Northwestern.

Saturday’s homers came from five different players and commenced with a solo shot to left field from senior third baseman and National Player of the Year finalist Sydney Romero in a four-run third inning that gave OU a 5-0 lead. Romero was followed three hitters later by a towering, two-run blast to center field from sophomore right fielder Jocelyn Alo.

Freshman first baseman Grace Green hit a solo shot to center field in the fifth inning, senior second baseman Caleigh Clifton had a solo homer to right-center in the sixth and sophomore catcher Lynnsie Elam closed out the scoring with a solo homer in the seventh.
