FloSoftball recognizes the top athletes from 2019 PGF 14U Premier Nationals with the help of SoCal Sidelines Carlos Arias, Manny Alvarez, and Extra Inning Softball's Brentt Eads. 

These athletes displayed tremendous grit, determination, and consistency throughout the toughest week of summer.

MVP PITCHER


Keagan Rothrock, Tennessee Mojo 04-Fisher

The Florida-committed 2023 RHP went 6-0 with a 0.14 ERA and 77 strikeouts in 46 innings to lead the Mojo to the PGF 14U premier nationals championship. She also pitched a perfect game and batters hit .106 against her at PGF.

Jaydyn “Shorty” Goodwin, Tennessee Mojo 04-Fisher

 The Georgia-committed 2022 infielder batted a team-high .488 with a .512 on-base percentage, 14 runs scored and six stolen bases for the Mojo.

Mia Williams, Tennessee Mojo 04-Fisher

The Florida-committed 2023 infielder batted .410 with a .452 on-base percentage, 12 RBIs, five doubles and a long home run in the PGF 14U Premier national title game.

Maci Bergeron, Tennessee Mojo 04-Fisher

The LSU-committed 2022 catcher hit .410 with 16 hits, 10 RBIs and threw out five potential base stealers for the Mojo.


Taylor Pannell, Tennessee Mojo 04-Fisher

The Auburn-committed 2022 3B/SS batted .394 with a .488 on-base percentage, 12 runs, nine RBIs, three doubles, six walks and a huge home run in bracket play against Hotshots Premier-Nelson in bracket play.


Jocelyn Briski, Arizona Storm-Mathis/Appel

The uncommitted 2023 RHP/1B went 5-1 with a 2.48 ERA and 39 strikeouts in 32 innings and she hit two home runs and drove in six runs.

Kaitlyn Terry, Arizona Storm-Mathis/Appel

The uncommitted 2023 LHP/1B made six appearances in the circle, finishing with a 1.47 ERA and 15 strikeouts in 29 innings. She also batted leadoff and stole five bases and scored seven runs.

Sierra Daniel, Arizona Storm-Mathis/Appel

The uncommitted 2023 MIF batted .438 with 14 hits, including a triple.


Kate Vance, Arizona Storm-Mathis/Appel

The uncommitted 2024 MIF batted .379, knocked in six runs and had the walk-off single that sent the Storm to the PGF 14U Premier national title game.

Kayden Henry, Texas Bombers Gold HTX-Burgess

The uncommitted 2023 outfielder batted .482, drove in nine runs, stole eight bases, had a walk-off hit to beat Corona Angels Tyson and helped the Bombers finished tied for third place at PGF.


Marlen “MiMi” Sandoval, Texas Bombers Gold HTX-Burgess

The uncommitted 2022 right-hander pitched three complete games and struck out 36 in 32 innings to help the Bombers to a third-place finish at PGF.

Ryan Maddox, Central Cal Dirtdogs-Pickering

The uncommitted 2023 southpaw went 3-1 with a 1.81 ERA and 26 strikeouts in 31 innings and batted .333 with two triples and seven runs scored.


Elizabeth Moffit, Central Cal Dirtdogs-Pickering

The uncommitted 2022 C/1B batted .310 with four doubles, a homer, three runs scored and four RBIs.


Ashanti McDade, Oklahoma Hotshots Premier-Yeatts

The uncommitted 2022 right-hander made seven appearances in bracket play and went 3-0 with a 2.45 ERA and 15 Ks in 20 innings and offensively she had a home run, scored four runs and drove in five runs.


Chloe Yeatts, Oklahoma Hotshots Premier-Yeatts

The uncommitted 2022 C/1B batted .375 with nine hits, four runs, five RBIs, three doubles and a homer to help the Hotshots to a fifth-place finish at PGF.

Presley Hosick, OC Batbusters-Flores

The uncommitted 2022 RHP started all seven games and finished with a 1.87 ERA and 16 strikeouts in 41 innings and as the lead-off slapper batted .478 with a .609 on-base percentage.

Oakley Bates, OC Batbusters-Flores

The uncommitted 2022 catcher caught every inning of the Batbusters seven bracket play games and batted .421 with two doubles, a triple, a homer, and nine RBIs to help the Batbusters to a fifth-place finish at PGF.


Kasidi Pickering, Hotshots Premier-Nelson

The uncommitted 2023 OF/RHP batted .478 with a homer, three doubles and 11 RBIs to help lead the Hotshots to a seventh-place finish.

Emma Strood, Hotshots Premier-Nelson

The LSU-committed 2022 RHP/1B started four games, had a 1.61 ERA and 15 strikeouts for the Hotshots at PGF.

D’Auna Johnson, Cal Breeze-Fernald

The Oregon-committed 2022 SS/UT batted .478 (11 for 23) with two doubles, a homer, a triple, 11 runs scored, seven stolen bases and four RBIs to lead the Breeze to a seventh-place finish.

Malaya Johnson, Cal Breeze-Fernald

The uncommitted 2022 RHP/1B was the workhorse for the Breeze at PGF, going 5-2 with a 2.01 ERA, a shutout, 29 strikeouts in 38.2 innings and only eight walks.

Kaiah Altmeyer, Firecrackers Brashear 2022

The uncommitted 2022 MIF/OF batted .500 with a homer and six stolen bases to lead the Firecrackers toa ninth-place finish.


Zaniah Puni, OC Batbusters-Campbell/Stith

The uncommitted 2023 3B/1B went 6 for 12 with two home runs, including a grand slam, a double, three runs scored and nine RBIs to help the Batbusters to a ninth-place finish.

Cassidy Kettleman, Beverly Bandits DeMarini-Richards

The uncommitted 2022 OF/MIF hit .560 with six stolen bases, including stealing home, and she had a perfect fielding percentage defensively.

Grace Hollopeter, Beverly Bandits DeMarini-Richards

The uncommitted 2022 C/3B batted .520 with five stolen bases and had a perfect fielding percentage for the week.

Renae Cunningham, Beverly Bandits DeMarini-Richards

The uncommitted 2023 P/1B had a 1.29 ERA and 24 Ks in 21.2 innings and offensively she belted two homers and knocked in 11 runs.


Isabella Torres, Texas Bombers Gold-Torres

The uncommitted 2023 infielder batted .556 with 12 hits, including three doubles, seven runs scored, eight RBIs, never struck out in 11 games and played stellar defense to help the Bombers to a ninth-place finish.

Rita Nuss, Lady Dukes-Lamar

The uncommitted 2022 MIF/UT went 9 for 16, scored three runs and drove in six runs in five bracket games for the Lady Dukes.

Addie Mettler, NorCal Firecrackers-Mettler

She went 4 for 11 with two runs and two RBIs, including the game-winning hit vs. Impact Gold National.

Division I Council Extends Dead Period To Sept. 30

The Division I Council recommended the Division I Board of Directors adopt some minimum protections for student-athletes whose sport seasons are impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and will finalize recommendations before Aug. 21. The Council met virtually Wednesday.
