On Sunday, Nebraska Athletic Director Bill Moos announced Nebraska Head Softball Coach Rhonda Revelle's review has been lifted. Moos reinstates Revelle stating, “After reviewing the findings, I have concluded that Coach Revelle will continue to lead our softball program. Coach Revelle and her staff understand the seriousness of the student-athlete concerns and are committed to providing a complete and positive student-athlete experience on the field, in the classroom, and in life.” Revelle will resume responsibilities with the softball program immediately.
Coaches and former players were outspoken about their support for Coach Revelle creating the hashtag "#StandWithRhonda."
In what I hope will be seen as a landmark case for a correct & just decision, #StandWithRhonda can now be celebrated as a win for female S-A’s. Female S-A’s who want to be coached to the highest standards; s-a’ s who want to be respected by being held to a higher standard.— Jacquie Joseph (@MSUCoachJoseph) August 26, 2019
My time in softball was years ago. But Coach Revelle encouraged us all to play harder, play smarter, and get in it to win it. Coach Revelle inspired me to be better. She believed in us all. Idk what's going on, but @Huskers do the right thing. #standwithrhonda #HuskerNation— Rachelle Rebecca Anastasia (@sprklngdiamond) August 18, 2019
Revelle stated, “I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve as the Head Coach of the University of Nebraska Softball Team. I also want both to recognize and thank the University of Nebraska leadership for their steadfast commitment to and unwavering support of this softball program. I love this state. I love this University. I love this team. I am so ready for and I am looking forward to Nebraska Softball growing strong and better together during the 2019-2020 season."
