ROSEMONT, Ill. (February 3, 2020) – The Chicago Bandits and Caleigh Clifton have agreed to terms on a one-year contract extension for the 2020 NPF season, team officials announced Monday afternoon.

“Getting ‘CC’ and her energy back out here for us this season is going to be great,” Assistant GM Jourdan Skirha said. “We can’t wait to see what she does for the Bandits this summer.”

Clifton was impressive on the field this past season, notching 13 putouts and 10 assists, completing all of her fielding chances. Much like her last collegiate season, Clifton did not commit a single error.

The University of Oklahoma infielder put up impressive numbers throughout the 2018-19 season, earning a nomination for the 2019 Honda Sports Award. She achieved season-high numbers in her senior campaign for batting average (.390), home runs (17) and RBI (52).

“Excited to be back for another summer with the Bandits!” Clifton said. “I’m ready to get back with my team and go to work. Go Bandits!”

Clifton and the four-time Cowles Cup Champion Chicago Bandits will return to Parkway Bank Sports Complex on June 10, 2020 for their home opener against the California Commotion. The complete schedule for 2020 Bandits home games will be released later this month. All tickets will be on sale beginning Friday, February 14th at 10 AM.
