About the Blue Raiders
» Senior first baseman Lexi Cushing earned her second career TSWA Player of the Week nod after three home runs and a Conference USA-leading eight runs scored in the opening weekend.
» Newcomer Mia Marinakis made an impact both at the plate and in the circle in her first week as a Blue Raider, posting a 2.84 ERA along with a .250 batting average in the third spot in the lineup.
» Speedster Savannah Freeman has picked up where she left off on the basepaths, as she leads MT going 3-for-3 in stolen base attempts.
» Junior pitcher Amber Baldwin picked up a win and her first career save last Friday during Blue Raider wins over UC Riverside and Utah State.
» Depth in the circle was proven for MT over the weekend when sophomore Gretchen Mead tossed a two-hit gem against San Jose State, who was receiving votes in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches poll.
» Jocelynn De La Cruz and Ryan King showed opponents that there is no lack of power in the middle of MT's order, as De La Cruz slugged two-homer, and King belted her second career round-tripper in the Titan Classic.
» Record watch is in full effect this season, as Summer Burgess and Cushing inch closer towards capturing Blue Raider career records. Burgess is 50 hits shy of becoming MT's all-time hits leader, and Cushing is 13 RBIs away from bringing home the most runs of any Blue Raider hitter.

All-time against the Madeira Beach Tournament 1 field
» MT is a combined 6-13 all-time against this weekend's field.
» The Blue Raiders own a 3-1 series lead over Nicholls State and have won the only game played against Butler.

About the Madeira Beach Tournament 1 field
» The best record of any Blue Raider opponent this weekend belongs to Butler, which lost to Loyola Chicago in the Rambler Rumbler.
» As for the only two opponents that enter the weekend winless, Southern Illinois has losses to South Carolina and Ohio State, while Nicholls State fell to San Diego State twice and Villanova.

Next Time Out
» The Blue Raiders are set for their home opener on Wednesday, Feb. 19 against Kentucky.
» After the home opener, MT will head back on the road for five games in the Mardi Gras Mambo in Youngsville, Louisiana.
