On Monday evening, Tulsa Elite Softball coach, Jay Brainard, passed away at age 52. He is survived by his wife and 2 daughters.

Remembering Tulsa Elite Coach Jay Brainard

Jason Michael Brainard, age 52, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021. Jason was born May 29, 1969. His first job out of college was in Law Enforcement starting with Pontiac Prison and then transferred into Law Enforcement with Livingston County Sheriff's Department in Pontiac, IL. While working for Livingston Police Department, Jason coached Flanagan High School football and worked for Flanagan school district. Prior to becoming Federal Security Director, he completed Air Marshall Training in New Mexico.

Shortly after 9/11 he was hired as the Federal Security Director for Homeland Security. He then started his Federal Director career in Indiana and then moved onto Iowa, then served in Maine for one year before his final career destination in Wichita, KS.

He was a softball coach for U.S.A Pride with his final coaching at The Tulsa Elite 316 Organization. He is preceded by his mother Vivienne Brainard. He is survived by his loving wife Holly; his two wonderful daughters Grace and Isabelle; father Michael; brothers Wayne and Pete (Julie) Brainard.

Memorial service will be held 3pm, Friday, November 19th, 2021 at Resthaven Mortuary.
