Vote John Smith For Olympic Hall Of Fame
John Smith was selected as the greatest American wrestler of all time by FloWrestling. Now he needs your help for induction into the Olympic Hall of Fame.
John Smith is one of the best wrestlers in the world. In fact, FloWrestling recently selected him as the greatest American wrestler ever as it counted down the top 100 wrestlers in U.S. history.
Smith has done it all.
- Two NCAA titles (1987-88)
- Four World titles (1987, 1989, 1990, 1991)
- Two Olympic gold medals (1988, 1992)
- The first wrestler to win the Sullivan Award (1990)
- Recognized as one of the 100 greatest Olympians at the 1996 Olympics
- Sportsman of the Year in 1990
- UWW International Wrestling Hall of Fame (2003)
- Distinguished Member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame (1997)
The honors go on and on.
There is one recognition that Smith has not received: induction into the Olympic and Paralympic Hall of Fame.
