LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Junior Jillian Navarro gave Bradley Softball the lead with a two-run homer in the fourth and came up with a big defensive play in the top of the seventh as the Braves topped #20/24 Arkansas 3-2 Friday afternoon to start play at the Troy Cox Classic.

The New Mexico State softball team begins the 2020 season with the Troy Cox Classic from Feb. 6-9. The Aggies welcome Arkansas, Nebraska, UTEP and Bradley for the annual tournament.

The Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic is the nation's largest and most prestigious preseason college softball tournament, featuring 29 top Division I teams including the U.S. Women's National Team. For the fifth year in a row, the event will span one weekend in Cathedral City, California, Feb. 20-23.
