16U FAB 50 Preseason Rankings

After much deliberation, the Birmingham Thunderbolts may be vying for another National Championship in the 16U division with the No. 1 ranked team in the nation, Jay Roberson's Birmingham Thunderbolts 02.

Since last summer, they've have added Kentucky-commit 2020 pitcher Stephanie Schoonover, Georgia 2020 commit Hayley Eaton, Brooke Burback, a 6-foot power hitting catcher committed to UAB and Nellia Parallta, a Dominican shortstop from South Florida that is committed to Mississippi State (2021).
An all-star roster for the Bolts is returning with Alabama-commit Jaala Torrence, Washington-commit Lilly Agan, UAB-commit Brooke Burback, Mississippi State-commit Taylor Middlebrook, Hot 100 pitcher Annabelle Widra, Virginia-commit Madison Harris, Boston College-commit Kam Warman, Auburn-commit Aubrie Lisenby, LSU-commit K.K. Madrey, and South Alabama-commit Bailey Welch.
This fall they played an 18U schedule with a 19-1 record.

Battle of the Regions

While West might have the most teams on the FAB 50 (16), the Southeast and the West tie for the most Top 25 teams. However, the Southeast region lists five teams in the Top 10 versus the West with only one.

The Midwest and the North each snag two top 10 nods with Beverly Bandits - Conroy, Beverly Bandits - Helbling, DeMarini Aces, and Diamond Sports Hotshots - Dumezich.

This summer we will see who comes out on top at the Tulsa Elite Invite, CO Sparkler & Fireworks, World Fastpitch Championship, TC/USA Nationals, USA JO Cup, and PGF Premier Nationals all on FloSoftball.

At the end of summer competition, we will release the final 16U end of season rankings in August.
