Week 1: FloSoftball Division I Top 25 Rankings

One of the major upsets from the weekend was Washington losing to Notre Dame in 8 innings after a runner was entered incorrectly and was later ruled out. Notre Dame also toppled Liberty 4-1 in Puerto Vallarta. Florida State continues to hold on to the No. 1 spot beating all five opponents at the Joanne Graf Classic. The Noles gave up just two runs while throwing four shutouts. 

Oklahoma and LSU were the only other two top 25 teams to limit their opponents to two runs. LSU climbs up the rankings to the No. 5 spot after scoring 73 runs in six games. Texas jumps up to the top 10 after an impressive weekend of play giving up three runs in four games.

Indiana, Oregon, and Notre Dame enter the top 25 this week after an impressive opening weekend. The Hoosiers upset Georgia at the FAU First Pitch Classic 6-4. The Ducks got into formation last weekend showcasing their offensive power. Their freshman accounted for over half of the team's run production hitting seven home runs with a .426 batting average. Third baseman Rachel Cid was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week.

This weekend will be another test for top 25 programs as they compete at the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge, Hillenbrand Invitational, St. Pete Elite Invitational.
