2020 FloSoftball Preseason Top 25 Division I Rankings

UCLA remains at the top until a team knocks them off the mountain. We know that Rachel Garcia and Bubba Nickles are irreplaceable. Losing the duo to Team USA is bittersweet but we do know the Bruins are still loaded with an explosive offense and promising pitching.

Key returners are Kelli Godin, Aaliyah Jordan, Bri Perez, Kinsley Washington, Megan Faraimo, and Holly Azevedo. With targets on their backs, these returners will play an essential role in the trajectory of their season. Expect Godin and Perez to steal over 40 bases and Jordan to put up big power numbers. The Bruins will lean heavily on Faraimo and Azevedo in the circle.

The Bru crew added No. 2 recruit infielder Maya Brady, No. 6 recruit catcher Alyssa Garcia, No. 20 infielder Seneca Curo, and No. 38 pitcher/utility Lexi Sosa. The catching position is up for grabs and it will be decided between freshmen Garcia, Taylor Sullivan, Sara Rusconi Vininanza, and grad student Jenavee Peres.

With or without Garcia and Nickles, this squad is stacked with speed, power, and elite pitching.
