Batbusters Stith Win Back-To-Back 18U USAES World Fastpitch Championships

World Fastpitch Champions: Batbusters Stith

OC Batbusters Stith are back-to-back 18U USAES World Fastpitch Champions run-ruling Georgia Impact National Lewis Saturday night 9-1.

The game was tied 1-1 going into the bottom of the fifth when Washington-commit Jadelyn Allchin crushed a double to center lead off the inning.

D’Asha Saiki (2019, Cal) laid down a sac bunt. Georgia Impact catcher Julia Cottrill (2019, Florida) picked up the bunt and threw the ball into the back of Saiki’s helmet allowing her to reach base and Allchin to score from second.

Second baseman Skylar Wallace (2018, Alabama) misplays a ball chopped by Arizona-commit Janelle Meono. Saiki advances to third.

Ivy Davis (2017, Arizona) misses the squeeze and Cottrill fires down to third but Saiki takes off on the throw scoring the second run in the inning. Davis is walked by Gabby Sprang (2017, Tennessee)

With runners on first and third, Jocelyn Alo (2017, Oklahoma) singles in the 5-6 hole to bring in Meono.

Sprang loads the bases for Sharlize Palacios (2019, Arizona) who strikes out on a pitch that gets by the catcher and Ivy scores from third.

Terra McGowan (2018, Arizona State) lays down a squeeze to score Alo. Lauren Gutierrez (2017, Nevada) is hit by a pitch bringing Allchin up to bat for the second time in the inning.

Allchin hits a ball deep to the warning track in left center field but Haven Sampson tracks it down to make the catch. All runners tag and advance on the sac fly by Allchin.

D’Asha doubles to score two more runs to end the game in a run-rule.

Olivia Rains picks up the win giving up only one earned run.
