Troy vs. Stetson | Citrus Blossom Invitational

After a quiet first two innings, Troy exploded in the top of the third with nine runs off five hits.

Logan Calhoun and Maddie Porter both reached off of singles and Webb followed getting hit by a pitch to load the bases for Stephanie Snyder. Snyder drew a bases-loaded walk to plate the Trojans' first run and Bailey Taylor followed with a blast over the left field wall to record her first career grand slam.

Hope Hernandez doubled to left center to score another run and two walks and a hit by pitch scored two more runs. The inning was capped off by a single Webb to score the ninth run.

Troy's bats stayed hot through the top of the fourth where Troy added five more runs off of six hits.

A trio of singles by Lively, Corbett, and Hernandez scored a run for Troy. Porter was hit by a pitch to set up Katie Webb for a two-run dinger out the left side. Back-to-back singles by Snyder and Taylor capped off the five running inning for Troy.

Annie Willis (2-1) recorded her second win of the season, pitching all five innings and recording seven strikeouts for the Trojans. Stetson falls to 0-3 after recording just one hit off of Willis.
