Courtney Cooper pitched a gem and Luther scored two runs on two hits in the top of the sixth that proved to be the difference in today's 3-2 victory over No. 17 UW-Whitewater. Cooper (4-0) went the distance in the circle and allowed one earned run, spread five hits and walked four en route to her fourth win of the season.

With the scored tied 1-1 after five, Luther manufactured the game-winning runs. Blake Banowetz walked, followed by an Abbey Gehringer single up the middle. A Maleah Georgen sac moved the base runners to second and third. Paige Timmerman followed with a double to center field that gave the Norse a 3-1 advantage.

Gehringer was the only Norse to record multiple hits going 3-for-3. Georgen drove in Luther's first run of the game in the fourth with a single up the middle.
