The softball community continues to mourn and pay tribute to 2018 infielder Amanda Stockman, from Williamsville, N.Y. after the young athlete took her life Wednesday

The softball community continues to mourn and pay tribute to 2018 infielder Amanda Stockman, from Williamsville, N.Y. after the young athlete took her life Wednesday afternoon.
A candlelight memorial was held Thursday night by the Jersey Intensity organization led by club head man Kevin O’Donnell who honored the athlete by saying:
“Amanda, a beautiful and passionate 15-year-old young student-athlete, resided in a suburb of Buffalo, New York.”
“Daughter of John and Kathy Stockman, she is one of six girls. Amanda attended Williamsville North High School where she excelled in both academics and athletics.”
“Amanda played for Jersey Intensity’s 14u National softball team. A future All-American, she aspired to play softball at a Division 1 university.”
“The Stockman Family wishes to continue Amanda’s passion for softball through The Amanda Stockman Scholarship Fund to go towards aspiring young student athletes who wish to carry on her commitment, motivation and drive.”

“We have set up a scholarship in her name: Amanda Stockman Scholarship Fund”
“Thank you in advance for your prayers and generosity”
As of Saturday morning, 116 people had donated close to $11,000 in one day--already surpassing the GoFundMe goal of $10,000.
