The Tigers were beating the Ducks by seven runs when Lowary was struck by a line drive off the bat of Nikki Udria. During the course of the season, Lowary struggled with depression and lack of concentration due to a misdiagnosed concussion. Following the season, she transferred to the University of Oklahoma to begin a new chapter. This is her story.
