VIERA, FL. (July 1, 2019) –The Pride are home for the third week in a row playing this week’s series against the Beijing Eagles. 

The USSSA Pride won against the Beijing Eagles 4-0 with the franchise’s first recorded perfect game!

The Pride took the lead in the first inning of the game. Amanda Lorenz led off the inning getting a walk. Megan Wiggins in the third spot of the order, came in clutch hitting a 2 run home run bomb to get the lead.

Bianka Bell broke the two scoreless innings hitting a two run homer over the left field fence. Scoring pinch runner Nicole Pendley in the bottom of the fourth. Which added to the lead making the score 4-0.

Going into the sixth inning new Pride player Kat Moore had her first NPF at bat. 

The Beijing Eagles made a stealer double play to end the sixth. 

Jolene Henderson started in the circle for the Pride. She kept the Beijing Eagles from scoring all game. Closing out the 7th inning, Sydney Romero made the final catch over her shoulder to end the perfect game for the Pride. 

 The Park Planet Player of the game was Jolene Henderson. Henderson threw the first perfect game in Pride history, getting the first win of the series! Henderson had four strikeouts, 2 putouts to first, and no walks on the game. 

Tuesday July 2nd the Pride take on the Beijing Eagles for game two of the series at 7:05 P.M. ET at the USSSA Space Coast Stadium.
