As the 2021 summer travel softball season winds down, the best 16U teams from across the nation will converge on Southern California to compete in the Premier Girls Fastpitch National Championship tournament. A quick look at some of the top teams competing is below.

FloSoftball will be streaming all eight fields from Huntington Beach Sports Complex from July 27-30 and from July 30-31 we will stream the Platinum Championships. I was blessed to be a part of the Beverly Bandits that are nationally known for the level of softball they play at.

When righthander Regan Krause finished her first season of 16U with Beverly Bandits-Conroy in 2018, she eagerly awaited the release of the 18U roster for the following year, fully expecting to see her name on it.

After Birmingham Thunderbolts 2024 cut Beverly Bandits Premier's lead to just one in the third inning, the Bandits stole the momentum for good with a five-run fourth inning to take care of the Thunderbolts in a 9-2 victory at the PGF 12U Premier Nationals on Friday afternoon at Fountain Valley Sports Complex in Fountain Valley, CA.

Fourteen-year-old Giana Raitano is modest and unassuming – that is until you get her on a softball field. This 14-year-old softball player is a fierce competitor with hopes of one day playing for a Division I softball program. She recently received a $3,000 scholarship to help make that dream come true by offsetting costs associated with playing for one of the most prestigious and competitive traveling softball clubs.

Rising high school junior Bailey Dowling is one of the top shortstops in her home state of Illinois, but being social wasn’t something she was very interested in as a child.

Beverly Bandits 2019 pitcher Sydney Supple has written a number of wonderful blogs for FloSoftball in the past and now she takes the opportunity to interview a Hot 100 Bandit, Taylor Pannell. Supple is verbally committed to Northwestern University and plans to pursue a career in media.

Allison Smith will be a name you see on our Hot 100 2020 list. Smith burst on the scene this summer on Ohio Lasers Green winning ASA Nationals and the Atlanta Legacy tournament. It was no surprise to see Smith continue her journey in softball with her mom and dad as her coaches and biggest influencers. With so much success in the circle and at the plate, she still sees so much opportunity and growth.
